On the occasion of the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup – France, the FIFA Fan Experience will host a conference entitled “The History of Women’s Sport” on Friday, July 5, at 17:00h at Place Bellecour.
The event will be moderated by Cécile Ottogalli, historian of sport and gender. Brigitte Henriques, Deputy Vice-President of the French Football Federation (FFF) and Vice-President of the Local Organising Committee (LOC), as well as Frédérique Jossinet, Director of Women’s Football and Feminisation at the FFF, will be at her side and will speak on the evolution of the place given to women’s football within the French Federation.

At 6:30pm., a FIFA Legends match featuring former international players will be held at Place Bellecour. Among them will be Laura Georges, Alex Scott, Karina Leblanc, Camille Abily, Youri Djorkaeff or Fernando Couto. The meeting will be structured around two halves of twenty minutes each.
