JAKO make Rot-Weiss Essen special kit for 2017/18 DFB Cup!

When the fans of Regionalliga, fourth division, side Rot-Weiss Essen read the word “DFB-Pokal”, they remember great games.

It was about 23 years ago in 1994, when the club from the Ruhr valley played in the German DFB Cup final in Berlin. Although it was not enough to win against Werder Bremen, the team around Frank Kurth, Jörg Lipinski and Christian Dondera has nevertheless gained its firm place in the red and white club history.

For the German DFB Cup game against Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday evening, JAKO have designed a jersey for their partners, which reminds of the great achievements of the Esseners in the DFB Cup. The design with the indicated diagonal stripes, the square number and the “ESSEN” lettering on the back brings back the flair from 1994 back to the Hafenstrasse.
