AXION energy, a leading fuel company, and Club Atlético River Plate of Argentina have signed a one-and-a-half-year sponsorship agreement to print the AXION energy logo on the jersey sleeves of America’s brand-new champion, which will last until June 30, 2020.
The team will wear it for the first time on Tuesday night, for the match against Nacional in Maldonado, Uruguay. It will be the only friendly match they will play before resuming the Argentinian Superleague.
Apart from its privileged presence on the professional and reserve teams’ attire, the logo will also be present on the signs at the Monumental stadium and on different communication and promotional pieces.
“We are very happy to announce this partnership,” stated Agustín Agraz, Vicepresident of Corporate Affairs at AXION energy. “We will work together with River in a series of brand activation ideas that will be a great opportunity to continue our positioning throughout the country,” he added.
Jorge Brito, River’s First Vicepresident, explained, 2AXION is a brand that will undoubtedly boost this partnership. It’s a new sector for us and we are very happy for the company’s support. We will work to develop new business units that will allow us to take a long-term path.”
