adidas & 1.FC Union Berlin present first joint home kit!

To mark the 100th anniversary of the Sportpark Sadowa’s inauguration — the grounds of the Stadion An der Alten Försterei today — Union and adidas have teamed up to present the 2020/21 home kit.

The world famous manufacturer from Herzogenaurach are the new official suppliers of 1. FC Union Berlin since the start of July, providing the youth, women’s and men’s team with kits and training wear.

1.FC Union Berlin will embark on their second season in Germany’s Bundesliga and will hope to wear the iconic red colours in front of crowds once again. As a tribute to the club’s stadium centenary, “100 Years of the Stadion An der Alten Försterei” decorates the back of the shirt. The ends of the sleeves are trimmed with white and yellow stripes and the logos of our sponsors Aroundtown and wefox will adorn the kits when first-team action returns.

“We’re sure that the anticipation of the new season will become even greater,” said Thomas Stäpke, Managing Director of Finance and Sales at 1. FC Union Berlin. “The partnership with adidas is a forward-looking signal for us and we’re delighted to be able to wear the famous three stripes.”

“We’re delighted that the partnership with 1. FC Union Berlin has now officially started. As the world’s leading football brand, we are proud to now have a club in Berlin as a partner. 1. FC Union Berlin has cult status in the national and international football world and has fans well beyond the city limits of Berlin,” added Paul Boerboom, Managing Director at adidas Germany.
