adidas & Arsenal FC extend partnership until 2030!

Arsenal FC have announced the extension of one of the most progressive partnerships in world sport until 2030.

Arsenal FC teamed up with adidas at the start of the 2019/20 season, reuniting after 25 years. Since the beginning of the latest partnership, we’ve broken new ground with compelling purpose-led campaigns and product ranges rooted in London’s culture which continue to inspire and engage our supporters around the world.

The extended partnership will have an increased focus on Arsenal Women with enhanced marketing rights that will bring greater global exposure for the team and players – continuing the joint commitment to drive the women’s game forward.

The ambition builds on our collaboration with adidas by Stella McCartney this year which saw the launch of a bespoke travel range for the women’s team.

As part of the new agreement, Arsenal FC’s sustainability strategy will benefit from expertise and insight from adidas’ experience, as the brand strives to meet its goal of replacing virgin polyester with recycled polyester in adidas products by 2024 wherever possible.

The partnership extension also enables them to continue the work done so far to support local communities. Earlier this year, together we launched No More Red – a long-term initiative developed to address the root causes of youth violence by supporting young people through the creation of safe spaces and active mentorship with trusted role models.

Arsenal FC also donated £5 from every sale of their 2022/23 home shirt until the start of the new season to The Arsenal Foundation to support local community projects.

Arsenal FC Chief Commercial Officer, Juliet Slot, said, “We’re delighted to agree a new partnership with adidas until 2030. The long-term nature of our extension means there’s a real commitment to build on this brilliant collaboration, with a strong focus on growing women’s football and developing our sustainability strategy.”

“Since we’ve been reunited, we’ve driven initiatives and investment in our local communities, and developed exciting and bold product ranges for our players and supporters alike. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made together and we’re excited to take our partnership forward.”

The announcement comes following a summer where both the men’s and women’s teams were hosted at adidas’ global headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany for pre-season training camps.

Chief Executive Officer at adidas, Kasper Rorsted, added, “The work we have done with Arsenal has broken new ground in football partnerships and both on and off the pitch Arsenal continues to be at the forefront of the sport. We’re truly excited to continue to support both the men’s and women’s teams, delivering the very best for the athlete.”

“We believe in helping the local community in London, investing in the causes and issues that matter most to them, and through exciting products and authentic storytelling, we’re looking forward to celebrating the rich and diverse Arsenal fanbase globally in the years ahead.”
