FC Bayern Munich and adidas today unveiled the new home kit for the 2021/22 season. The players will wear it for the first time in the friendly against Ajax Amsterfam at the Allianz Arena (kick-off 16.30 CEST) today. The highlight of the shirt is the fifth star that will adorn the German record champions’ crest from now on after they secured their 30th Bundesliga league title.
FC Bayern CEO Oliver Kahn said, “Our new home shirt is something very special for our club this season. With the fifth star on the chest, the great achievements of the past decades are honoured – and at the same time, this star is an enormous motivation for all of us to never let up, and to continue always giving our all for our many fans around the world.”
The design of the dark red home shirt impresses with its V-shaped light red striped pattern, which adorns the shirt from the chest down. The highlights on the sleeves, as well as the three stripes on the shoulder, are white; the sponsors are also featured in the same colour scheme. The club’s signature “Mia san mia” lettering is featured on the back of the neck.
