Former I-League champions Aizawl FC have announced that they have retained goalkeeper Zothanmawia for the 2020/21 season.
22 year old Aizawl-born Zothanmawia, also known as T-Mawia, in his youth locally before joining the Chandigarh Football Academy and even being an India Under-16 probable.
T-Mawia returned to his home state Mizoram to play for Dinthar FC in the inaugural MPL-1 in 2012 before joining Aizawl FC two seasons later in 2014. He spend four seasons with the People’s Club before playing for Chhinga Veng FC in the 2019 Mizoram Premier League.
T-Mawia played so well for Chhinga Veng FC that Aizawl FC resigned him in January 2020 for the remainder of the 2019/20 I-League and he impressed to get a new contract.
