AS Monaco have announced the transfer of Benjamin Lecomte, their 31-year-old French goalkeeper, to Montpellier Hérault, currently 15th in Ligue 1.
Benjamin Lecomte has been on loan with Espanyol Barcelona, playing in LaLiga since last summer. The native of Paris has played 10 official matches with the Catalan club.
The goalkeeper is preparing to return to Montpellier HSC, having worn Montpellier’s colours 79 times between 2017 and 2019.
He arrived in the Principality to join AS Monaco in 2019, and the goalkeeper trained in Niort playing 60 matches in Rouge et Blanc in all competitions, including 56 times in Ligue 1.
Benjamin Lecomte had been loaned previously during the 2021/22 season to Atlético Madrid.
