DFL sets fixtures for the Bundesliga & Bundesliga 2 until the season end!

Today, DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga released the exact schedule for the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2 matches from Matchday 29 until the end of the season.

Matches now confirmed include the visit of league leaders FC Bayern München to third-placed VfL Wolfsburg on the Saturday of Matchday 29 (April 17, 3:30 p.m. CEST), while the Rhine derby between Bayer 04 Leverkusen and 1. FC Köln kicks off at 6:30 p.m. CEST on the same day. Mid-week fixtures are scheduled for Matchday 30 (Tuesday, April 20, and Wednesday, April 21). A kick-off time has also been set for the tie between fifth-placed Borussia Dortmund and second-placed RB Leipzig on Matchday 32 (Saturday, May 8, 3:30 p.m. CEST). FC Bayern München host Borussia Mönchengladbach three hours later, at 6:30 p.m. CEST.

As things stand, all fixtures on Bundesliga Matchday 33 are scheduled for Saturday, May 15, at 3:30 p.m. CEST. There may be some alterations, as the final of the DFB-Pokal is due to be played two days beforehand (Thursday, May 13). Three Bundesliga clubs are still in this competition: Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and SV Werder Bremen. If one or two of these clubs get through to the final, the Bundesliga matches involving these teams will subsequently be moved from Saturday, May 15, to Sunday, May 16, in order to allow sufficient recovery time.

In Bundesliga 2, the fixture on the Monday evening of Matchday 29 has been rescheduled due to the subsequent mid-week games. As a result, there will now be three matches on Friday, April 16. The matchdays that have now been scheduled include several clashes between clubs in the top third of the table. For instance, one of the mid-week fixtures on Matchday 30 sees second-placed Hamburger SV take on fifth-placed Karlsruher SC on Tuesday, April 20 (6:30 p.m. CEST). On Matchday 33, it is fourth-placed Holstein Kiel’s turn to face Karlsruher SC (Sunday, May 16, 3:30 p.m. CEST). The schedule of league leaders VfL Bochum 1848 includes a clash with Hannover 96 on Matchday 29 (Sunday, April 18, 1:30 p.m. CEST) and a trip to 1. FC Nürnberg on Matchday 33 (Sunday, May 16, 3:30 p.m. CEST).
