East Bengal set to name Bino George as their Durand Cup & CFL head coach!

While East Bengal Club are still to finalise their head coach for the Indian Super League, the club are looking to appoint Santosh Trophy winning Kerala head coach Bino George for their team to play the Durand Cup and Calcutta Football League – Premier Division A.

The 45 year old Bino George has successfully coached Gokulam Kerala FC in the past and is set to reach Kolkata by the end of the month.

East Bengal are currently in the final stage of their negotiation with new investors Emami Group for the upcoming Indian Super League, and also they are in talks with former India head coach Stephen Constantine and ex-Mumbai City FC head coach George Costa for the main side.

“We are signing a one-year contract with George. He will groom the reserve team and if needed would assist the main side in the ISL,” a East Bengal top official told PTI.

On the Emami Group tie-up, the source said, “It will be announced next week as some registrar of companies-related process is currently underway.”
