Jerome Onguene has returned to Austrian Bundesliga champions Red Bull Salzburg and signed a loan contract until the summer 2023.
The 25-year-old Frenchman left Austria in the summer after five years for German Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt upon the end of his contract. The central defender dominant in the air had a difficult season so far though due to several injuries. Jerome will have the shirt number 5.
Red Bull Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund said, “We are pleased about Jerome’s return and are convinced that he can help us. We know one another well from the past and appreciate his qualities.”
