ElevenSports.com becomes global home of Italy’s Serie B Femminile!

ELEVEN, the pioneering global sports and entertainment platform, has acquired the worldwide rights to broadcast the Serie B Femminile for the next two seasons, starting in 2021/22. Through its partnership with the Italian Football Federation (FIGC), starting on Sunday, December 5 with Matchday Ten, all matches from Serie B Femminile will be broadcast exclusively live and free via the global ElevenSports.com platform. Fans will also have access to rich on-demand content, with goals, highlights, and the best individual plays helping to bring star players to the fore.

“We’re delighted to partner with FIGC and to bring Serie B Femminile to a platform which has had women’s football at the core of its offering since it launched,” Pedro Presa, ELEVEN Group Chief D2C Officer said. “ElevenSports.com’s first partner was a women’s team in Switzerland, and our commitment to the game’s growth has never wavered, live streaming more events than any other platform. We have very exciting plans in place for the future to ensure the talented players are able to showcase their talent like never before.”

“We’re proud to have begun this strategic collaboration with ELEVEN in order to finally be able to give Serie B Femminile the visibility it deserves,” said Ludovica Mantovani, President of the Women’s Football Division at FIGC. “After seeing the interest generated in matches streamed on the federation’s website at the end of the 2020-21 season, ELEVENSPORTS.com proved to be the ideal platform to broadcast all matches of the women’s second tier. During the period of testing we truly appreciated the availability and professionalism of the production staff, who were in constant contact with the fourteen member clubs, in a format designed specifically for our reality.”

Sunday’s first match at 12:00 will feature the newly promoted sides Sassari Torres and Cortefranca competing for precious points in the race for safety. This is a goal also shared by Roma Calcio Femminile, who face a difficult match at Brescia Calcio Femminile at 12:30. The spotlight shifts to the Lombardy derby at 14:30 with Como Women against Pro Sesto, followed by Chievo Verona vs. Cesena, Cittadella Women vs. Tavagnacco, Revenna vs. Pink Bari, and San Marino Academy vs. Palermo.

The deal further strengthens ELEVEN’s women’s football offering, ELEVEN recently added the Asian Football Confederation’s competitions including the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup to its portfolio in six South-East Asian territories, and plans to significantly accelerate the live broadcast of women’s competitions in 2022.
