Gokulam Kerala FC all set for Assam Rifles challenge!

Gokulam Kerala FC face Assam Rifles in the last match of Group D on Sunday at 3pm at the Kalyani Municipal Stadium.

Defending champions Gokulam Kerala are now second in the group with four points while Army Red are in the first position by virtue of better goal difference. A win against Assam Rifles will see the Malabarians enter the knockout phase.

The Malabarians will be pinning hopes on their improved performance against Hyderabad FC to grab a win against Assam Rifles, who have lost all the matches played so far. Emil Benny, who was received red card, will be suspended from the match.

“Assam Rifles have nothing to lose in the tournament and they will be playing without any pressure. We have to be wary about them and should keep our composure. We aim to win the match and enter the quarterfinals as group champions,” said Vincenzo Alberto Annese, the head coach of Gokulam Kerala FC.

The match will be shown live on Addatimes.
