ISL-3: FC Pune City score late 2-1 winner away to FC Goa!

fc-goa-fc-pune-cityFC Pune City scored a big 2-1 away upset win over home crowd favourites FC Goa at a jam packed Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao on Saturday night with FC Goa being only in a position to blame themselves for the defeat.

FC Goa had the better start, but after 25 minutes it was FC Pune City, who took a surprise lead after a Jonatan Lucca was diverted onto the post by FC Goa keeper Laxmikant Kattimani, but Izumi Arata was the most alert to put the rebound into the goal with Kattimani this time beaten.

FC Goa further intensified their attacks, but only on the stroke of half time Rafael Coelho equalised past Edel Bete after a misjudgement by Gouramangi Singh in the Pune defence. At the break things stood at one-all.

FC Goa continued to be wasteful with their chances and they were punished by FC Pune City, when substitute Momar Ndoye beat Lucio and his angular shot sailed into the net to give FC Pune City an unlikely victory over a strong home team in FC Goa to pick-up their first points of ISL-3, while FC Goa stay pointless after two games.
