Juventus FC CEO Maurizio Scanavino made an important visit to the new Educational Hub in the Vallette district in Turin, alongside Save the Children CEO Daniela Fatarella.
It was important because it confirmed the strong partnership with Save the Children, which began in 2019 with an ambitious dream in common: to invest in the younger generations by helping those exposed to a higher degree of social fragility.
The first step of this partnership saw the redevelopment of the 0-18 Educational Hub, a place where Italian families and more recently imigrant families coexist, 800 meters from the Allianz Stadium, located in one of the seven highly exposed districts in Turin that are exposed to economic and social fragility, low level of schooling and a high risk of droping out of school.
Juventus continued its commitment towards inclusion and integration by renewing for a further three years its partnership with Save the Children in the local territory, including the new Educational Hub, whose area now covers 100m2. This set-up allows a synergy between the activities of the Punto Luce – aimed at the 6-18 age group – and Spazio Mamme – aimed at the 0-6 age group.
Since it was opened, around 350 participants between the ages of 6 and 18 have attended the centre and taken part in the various educational, sports and study support offers.
For children aged 0-6, the number of participants has been over 300. Furthermore, 190 mothers participate in the activities of the Spazio Mamme, which has also developed an excellent legal, administrative, educational and social consultancy service aimed at families.
The challenge for the next few years will be to continue working together for the new generations, giving them the opportunity to aspire towards a better future by offering them free educational opportunities and qualified support to families.
