KONAMI announced as new Bayern Munich platinum partner!

FC Bayern Munich and KONAMI are joining forces: effective immediately, the globally renowned computer and video game developer becomes a Platinum Partner of the German record champions. The long-term agreement was announced at a press conference at the Allianz Arena on Thursday, July 11.

FC Bayern München AG chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: “We are delighted that we are entering into a long-term partnership with Konami, a Japanese company rich in tradition and a world-famous manufacturer of computer and video games, and that our professional players and the Allianz Arena will be included in the upcoming eFootball PES 2020 football simulation game from September.”

The partnership between KONAMI and FC Bayern provides the developers of the eFootball PES series with comprehensive access to the stars and legends of Germany’s most successful football club, allowing lifelike reproduction of all the elements necessary in producing the games. After a complete 3D scan of the stadium, eFootball PES 2020 will present an extremely precise reproduction of the Allianz Arena with many small but impressive details in design. The FC Bayern pros too will feature very accurately in eFootball PES 2020 after the 3D scan.

“KONAMI has a long history of championing German football, and so we’re very happy to become a Platinum Partner of FC Bayern, the most successful German club in history,” said Jonas Lygaard, Senior Director Brand & Business Development at Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. “With each year, our development team continues to surpass expectations and we are very proud to present FC Bayern’s epic Allianz Arena and its players in all their glory in eFootball PES 2020.”

In addition, KONAMI is very proud to have secured the services of Germany international and FCB forward Serge Gnabry as official eFootball PES ambassador. Gnabry will not only feature on the eFootball PES 2020 cover but will also be involved in multiple upcoming activations with FC Bayern and KONAMI that fans can look forward to.
