Lena Gercke designs first-ever Bayern Munich Women kit!

It was always a big wish, and now, for the first time in the club’s 54-year history, the FC Bayern Munich Women will wear a jersey designed exclusively for them. Giulia Gwinn, Georgia Stanway, Linda Dallmann and their teammates will wear the kit on the pitch for the first time on March 17 against RB Leipzig.

Design by Lena Gercke

It’s a special jersey that has an impact beyond the pitch: a statement by women for women, a milestone to symbolise the self-determination and emancipation of women’s football, not only because it fulfils a long-cherished dream, but also because Bayern’s own players were involved in its creation. The design was created by entrepreneur, fashion icon and model Lena Gercke with her brand LeGer by Lena Gercke. It was designed in collaboration with adidas and FC Bayern.

Bianca Rech, head of FC Bayern Women, said, “The first jersey designed especially for us is characterised by very central and emotional significance. It’s another landmark day in the history of FC Bayern Women. A big thank you to everyone involved in developing this absolutely unique piece.”

Lena Gercke said, “I’m super proud and grateful to be part of this long overdue milestone!”

Linda Dallmann said, “We’re delighted to be playing in a jersey designed especially for us for the first time in the history of FC Bayern. This shows the growing importance of women’s football. It would be great to see as many of our fans as possible wearing this jersey in the stadium soon.”

Official launch on International Women’s Day

The jersey will be officially unveiled on March 8, International Women’s Day. On this day, adidas also invites all fans to the Women’s Day Tournament at the adidas Sports Base Berlin – admission is free. This event, which is taking place for the third time, aims to give women’s football even more visibility by discussing ideas for shaping the future together. Gercke will also be there with a team.
