Centre-back Matej Maglica is rejoining VfB Stuttgart from FC St. Gallen. VfB Stuttgart are using the buy-back option that was agreed when the 24-year-old moved to Switzerland.
Maglica made 40 appearances for VfB Stuttgart U-21s in the Regionalliga Southwest and made his Bundesliga debut for the first team in November 2021.
The start of 2022 saw the 1.96m defender make the move to the Swiss Super League. The Croatian made 52 appearances in all competitions for St. Gallen, scoring four goals.
Maglica has signed a contract with the Cannstatt club valid until June 30, 2025.
