Minerva Academy beat Bengaluru’s Alchemy FA 4-1 in U-15 Youth League final round!

The Minerva Academy U-15 team kicked off their U-15 Youth League campaign with a 4-1 victory over the Alchemy International Football Academy, who were the winners of the Bengaluru Zone, beating teams like Bengaluru FC in their way to the final round.

Out of around 60 teams 16 of them made their way to the Final round and Minerva Academy made paved their path through as the Champions of the North-India Zone, beating ISL sides like Punjab FC, and with a dominant show in all their games and are placed alongside Alchemy International Football Academy, Kickstart FC and ARA FC in their group in the Final round of the tournament.

The young talents of Minerva Academy look ever so motivated and confident, hence putting on a show on the opening day itself with total domination, leaving their opponents in their wake.

The game started with a bang as Raj found the back of the net just five minutes into the match, setting the tone for what was to come. The pressure and relentless attacks from Minerva paid off when an own goal from Alchemy International Football Academy doubled their lead at the 15-minute mark.

Although Minerva Academy were in control of the game, but there were a lot of controversial decisions throughout the match against with a few questionable cards coming out aswell.

But the star of the show was undoubtedly Raj Wahengbam, who showed incredible skill and finesse by weaving past four defenders to score a stunning goal, further extending Minerva Academy’s lead to 3-0 by halftime.

Although Alchemy International Football Academy managed to pull one back in the second half, Raj wasn’t to settle with just two goals. He went on to complete his hattrick with another brilliant display of skills, securing the fourth goal for Minerva Academy and sealing their perfect start in the U-15 Youth League.

With Two teams from each group to make their way to the Quarterfinals, Minerva Academy U-15 team’s performance left fans in awe and set the stage for what promises to be an exciting season ahead.

Minerva Academy are now ready to take on ARA FC on May 16, in search of their second victory in the final round.
