Mizoram Premier League: Chanmari West FC earn a point with a late draw against Dinthar FC!

Dinthar FC were forced to shared points after a dramatic late equaliser from Chanmari West FC cancelled out their lead in round 5 of the Mizoram Premier League.

Dinthar FC took the lead near the end of the first half through a header from Lalnunpuia after a fine delivery from Ramtea.

They could have taken the lead earlier if not for some wayward shooting from their frontline.

Chanmari West FC were also guilty of profligacy in the first half as they missed several good opportunities to find the back of the net.

And the erratic finishing continued in the second half as Chanmari FC struggled to find and equaliser while their opponents themselves were guilty of failing to finish off their opponents.

Dinthar FC were given a golden chance to ensure three points when forward Jackson earned a penalty. But the effort of Malsawma Chhangte was safely parried by the opposition goalkeeper.

And in the end it was Chanmari West FC who were reward for perseverance when Lalthlamuana managed to put the ball into the back of the net after a scramble inside the box.

Chanmari West FC remained in the third position with seven points from five games, Dinthar FC moved to fifth position with five points.
