The evening fixture of round 13 saw league leaders Chanmari FC clash against newcomers Ramhlun North FC in a straight forward encounter. The former champions coming on top in a 2-0 victory.
Chanmari FC showed their superior quality and the amazing strength in depth they possess, controlling much of the game from start to finish. Ramhlun North FC’s Francis Oneyama was industrious yet again but was short of support as he had been.
Chanmari FC took the lead on the 36th minute when a powerful shot from Leonce Dodoz was parried by goalkeeper Sangpuia only to fall to Vanlalbiaa, who found the net from close range.
Ramhlun North FC struggling to get past a resolute Chanmari FC backline, found themselves two goals down goalkeeper Sangpuia caught Vanlalbiaa inside the box. The resulting spotkick was duly converted by Malsawmfela for his ninth goal of the season.
Ramhlun North FC came close on the dying stages through Ramzauva’s freekick and Francis Oneyama hit the bar after coming one on one with the goalkeeper.
Goalscoring hero Vanlalbiaa Chhangte was named Man of the Match.
