Mizoram Premier League: West Warriors triumph in Chanmari Derby!

Mizoram Premier League bottom table club Chanmari West FC grabbed much needed three points against neighbours Chanmari FC in the last match of round 10.

The West Warriors made the most of a vibrant first half to move out of the bottom of the table with a 2-1 victory.

Playing under a new coach H. Lalnunzira, Chanmari West FC struck in the 6th minute when Lalramluaha scored after a corner from Jacob Lalrawngbawla.

Striker Benjamin Cooper proved a handful for the MPL champions as he missed two good chances before finally netting on the 38th minute.

Chanmari FC improved in the second half and got themselves back into the game in the 52nd minute with through Lalthasiama.

They had numerous chances to get themselves level in the second half as Thomas Lalengkima went close on a couple of occasions while Pune FC striker Gani struck the bar but ultimately paid the price for their dismal first half performance.

Chanmari West FC defender H. Lalhlimpuia was named man of the match.
