Mohun Bagan kick off their training ahead of 2016/17 I-League!

On Boxing Day, December 26 Asia’s oldest football club in Mohun Bagan AC started their team training ahead of the 2016/17 I-League which kicks off for them with a home match against Churchill Brothers SC on Sunday, December 8.

The squad trained under Mohun Bagan head coach Sanjoy Sen, who has retaken charge of the team ahead of the I-League after assistant coach Shankarlal Chakraborty guided them in the Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’.

The first day’s practice saw the presence of goalkeepers Debjit Majumder, Sibinraj and Shilton Pal; defenders Pritam Kotal, Kingshuk Debnath, Shouvik Ghosh, Bikramjit Singh Jr, Prabir Das; midfielders Raynier, Robinson Singh, Pankaj Moula, Sourav Chakraborty, Katsumi Yusa, Pronay Haldar, Sarthak Golui; forwards Azharuddin Mallick and Darryl Duffy besides on-trial Pintu Mahato.

Missing where newly signed centre backs Anas Edathodika (Delhi Dynamos) and Eduardo Soares Ferreira (FC Pune City) besides Jeje Lalpekhlua and Sony Norde, who are all expected to join training next week, early 2017.
