Kit maker New Balance and Liverpool FC have launched the English Premier League clubs new home kit for the 2016/17 season, which was revealed at a special live event on Monday night.
The team’s world-famous red shirt, shorts and socks now feature eye-catching flashes of amber yellow for next season – designed for easy identification at rapid speed.
The new strip for next season – which was inspired by Reds fans and features the quote ‘There’s no noise like the Anfield noise’ on the inner hem of the shirt – was unveiled alongside the city’s famous waterfront.
Captain Jordan Henderson was joined by Philippe Coutinho, Simon Mignolet and Jon Flanagan, plus Academy graduate Connor Randall and Liverpool Ladies duo Gemma Bonner and Natasha Harding, to wear the stylish kit for the first time.
It features gradiated mesh to allow for increased air movement around the body, a tipped short stand button polo collar and is completely seam-free for greater comfort and reduced friction.
Jürgen Klopp said: “This team has the winning mentality and now, with this spectacular new home kit every player will look the part lighting up Anfield.”
