adidas has unveiled the ball which will be used for the knockout rounds of this season’s competition, which will culminate in the final on May 28, 2022 in Saint Petersburg.
With this season’s final taking place in Saint Petersburg, the design of the ball has been inspired by the White Nights, which is synonymous with the city during the summer months.
The Official Match Ball, which has a thermally bonded construction will be used from the Round of 16, which starts in February, until the final, which will take place on May 28, 2022 at the Gazprom Arena.
Earlier this year, adidas announced a significant expansion of its relationship with UEFA which extends to sponsorship of the 2024 UEFA European Football Championship. The expansion also includes the official partnership with UEFA Women’s Football from 2021-2025, covering all UEFA Women’s competitions.
