In the booming sports tech sector, iSportconnect has announced a new partnership with a PwC initiative bringing a much-needed focus on helping companies that have already progressed beyond the start-up phase.
Called Scale | Sport Tech, the expert programme is specifically tailored for later stage companies with validated products, finance and scalability — “scale-ups”.
“There are a lot of accelerator programmes in the market aimed at helping early-stage companies, but there are not many to help companies scale,” said Rob Cowdrey, PwC’s Scale | Sport Tech Programme Lead.
The programme will be based in London, home of about 15% of Europe’s new sports tech companies. It will drive commercial opportunities for these businesses by running tailored pitching events with C-Suite Executives from across the sports industry as well as PwC Partners and Directors.
iSportconnect will work with Scale to identify companies that will be a good fit for the programme and help develop content and knowledge-sharing events.
