Secontec GmbH, a leading provider of remote video monitoring technology, has become a new sponsor of FC Schalke 04, with a three-year partnership to 2025 agreed. The Hannover-based company is already a service provider for the Royal Blues, having developed a training analysis system for the first team as well as the youth academy.
Peter Knäbel, board member of FC Schalke 04, commented on the new sponsor: “We have had a successful working relationship with Secontec before, so it is a good and positive development that we can take our partnership to a whole new level. Detailed video analysis will take on a more and more important role in the world of professional sport in the future – we are currently one of the most innovative clubs in Germany in that respect, as we place so much value on the concepts of match and data analysis. I am even more pleased that we have also been able to get a strong partner on our side in the form of Secontec, who will offer the best solutions for our needs.”
Romuald Kowalik, CEO of Secontec GmbH, reflected Knäbel’s view: “As an innovative market leader in the world of AI-based video technology, we are especially pleased to be able to play a role in the sporting success of FC Schalke 04. Through this partnership in an emotionally-charged environment of football, we would like to send a message – we are looking forward to our time working together. We also want to add to the story of sporting success at FC Schalke 04 through further innovations and digitalisation in the future.”
With offices in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Secontec has become a pioneer in remote video monitoring technology since its founding in 2009.
