Spanish LaLiga champions FC Barcelona and SK Lubricants announced a partnership agreement this past Saturday in Beijing, through which the Korean company will become the Club’s Official Lubricant Partner, in the lubricants and engine oil category, for the next three seasons.
This is the first partnership agreement for FC Barcelona with a South Korean company, which also covers China, Russia, Thailand and Vietnam.
This agreement was announced at a special event in the Chinese capital. In attendance on behalf of FC Barcelona were its Head of Business for APAC, Jordi Camps, and Barça Legend Gaizka Mendieta. Representing SK Lubricants were Yongmin Park, Head of the Lubricants Business Division, and Jaeduk Sung, Head of Lubricants China Division.
This deal is an important step in the planned growth established in the Strategic Plan, approved by the Board of Directors for this mandate, and fits with the Club’s objective of searching proactively for partners that are best suited to the values and traits of the brand, as well as finding the best partnership for each category in the sports marketing world.
