The Mohammedan Sporting Club Under-16 boys are going to start their campaign in the 2017 Nike Premier Cup (U-16 Youth League – Final Round) against Shillong Lajong FC tomorrow at the Cooperage Stadium in Mumbai. The match kicks off at 10am.
Having finished the Kolkata Zonal Round in second place with 21 points from 10 games behind Mohun Bagan AC, last year’s semifinalists Mohammedan Sporting will be hoping to better their performance this time around and are clubbed alongside Aizawl FC, Shillong Lajong FC and Youngsters FC in Group B. All the Group B matches will be played at the Cooperage Stadium with the top team qualifying for the knockout semifinals.
Both set of boys at Mohammedan Sporting Club and Shillong Lajong FC know that every game in the final round would be important to keep their hopes of qualifying for the semifinals alive and it start with their opening match.
