VfB Stuttgart Women: Allianz & Ritter Sport are jersey sponsors!

The insurance company Allianz Leben, headquartered in Stuttgart, and the regional chocolate manufacturer Ritter Sport from Waldenbuch are now the main partners and jersey sponsors of VfB Stuttgart’s women’s football team.

After the successful competitive start in the WFV Cup, the jersey sponsor of the VfB Stuttgart Women for the 2022/23 season has been determined. The long-standing VfB partner Allianz Leben will be present on the red chest ring and, together with the newly acquired partner Ritter Sport, will now adorn the jerseys of VfB Stuttgart’s women’s football team on the right sleeve. Due to the close regional ties and joint projects and values, the connection goes beyond classic advertising partnerships.

In addition to Allianz Leben and Ritter Sport, the VfB Stuttgart women’s football team is supported by the sponsors AOK, Aqua Römer, Horn, The Female Skincare Company and Isaria.

VfB President Claus Vogt said, “The development we have made in recent months in the field of women’s football is impressive in every respect. The support of members and fans can be felt everywhere and internally we work together with the VfB Academy, the NLZ and in medical care at a high level. With really strong partners such as AOK, Aqua Römer and now also Allianz Leben und Ritter Sport, we are creating a strong financial basis. This makes me very proud and confident. From now on, it counts on the pitch.”

VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle said, “When we do something, we do it right. That’s why it’s very clear that we want to get into the Bundesliga with the first team in the future – and for that we have to create the conditions bit by bit. The fact that we were able to win such strong partners right at the start in the Oberliga is a great success and shows that we are serious about girls’ and women’s football. This jersey with these world brands is the envy of a lot of teams that are already playing at a higher level than we do. The fact that we are serious can also be seen in this. A compliment to our marketing team and a huge thank you to our partners.”

Katja de la Viña, CEO Allianz Life Insurance, said, “We are very proud to be the first jersey partner in the history of VfB women. The word partner is very important to us. Stuttgart is the headquarters of Allianz Leben, and we already have a very good cooperation with VfB. We are not only a sponsor, but also share common values. For example, we are already supporting VfBfairplay’s inclusive football project PFIFF and the VfB Academy. With our support for girls’ and women’s football at VfB, we are sending a clear signal for equality and diversity and are very much looking forward to keeping our fingers crossed for another VfB team together.”

Michael Lessmann, Managing Director DACH+Nordics Ritter Sport, said, “For us, this is not classic advertising sponsoring. We are rooted in the region, just like VfB. In addition, this is a very special partnership, because Clara Ritter had her business in Bad Cannstatt more than 100 years ago. She is the inventor of the square chocolate that she developed for the men’s sports jackets that were common at the time – which at the time cheered on the VfB men’s team. It is all the more wonderful now to make a contribution to equality, diversity and tolerance by supporting women’s football.”
