In commemoration of the victims of the floods in Germany, the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga is recommending that a minute’s silence be held at the Bundesliga 2 matches starting the 2021/22 season.
The DFL is also allowing clubs to decide whether to play in black armbands. The Bundesliga 2 season begins on Friday, July 23 (8:30 p.m. CEST) – three weeks before the Bundesliga – with the match between FC Schalke 04 and Hamburger SV. The first matchday ends on Sunday, July 25.
Last Friday, the DFL and DFB announced their intention to set up a solidarity fund of EUR 3 million.
