AS Roma & Klarna join forces to offer fans flexible payment service!

AS Roma have announced a new partnership with Klarna, welcoming them as Official Supplier in the Buy Now Pay Later category.

Giallorossi fans have already had the opportunity to take advantage of all the features that have made Klarna a global leader in the field of flexible payments, with the innovative service offered as part of the purchase process for all 2022-23 season tickets.

Almost 7,000 supporters already opted to take advantage of the payment flexibility offered by Klarna; which, for the first time ever for a Serie A club, made it possible for fans to split the cost of their season ticket into three instalments with no interest.

“Within the club, every decision we make is with the intention of offering our fans an increasingly accessible and innovative service,” said Paolo Monguzzi, the club’s Venue Business Director.

“In Klarna and its features we found everything we were looking for in that regard: technological innovation that would help our fans at the point of payment, making things as flexible and efficient as possible.

“We were encouraged by the experience we were able to offer during the season ticket sales phase, and we are confident that more and more of our fans will use Klarna for their purchases in the coming years.”

The club has already integrated the flexible payment system offered by Klarna for all purchases involving ticketing, and the service will soon be available within the online store as well. This will open the door to a new way for AS Roma fans to pay for their purchases, with all the flexibility of buying in three equal instalments without additional interest: an alternative to credit systems that will allow them to overcome cost-related barriers.

“Partnering with such an iconic football club is a major milestone for Klarna in Italy and beyond. We are proud to serve AS Roma football fans and give them flexibility and choice when it comes to buying tickets and merchandise online,” said Francesco Passone, Klarna’s Country Manager in Italy.

For Klarna, this partnership represents yet another statement of its strong commitment to Italy, where the company has over one million consumers and partners with over 8,000 Italian and international brands.
