Coinbase, the world’s most trusted and secure crypto platform, is expanding its exposure to the German market by partnering with eight-time German champions Borussia Dortmund. The crypto exchange remains a premium partner of the esteemed Bundesliga club.

This season, both parties are working on integrating “Coinbase Commerce” into Borussia Dortmund’s digital ecosystem so that the club can accept crypto payments. Also new this season is virtual perimeter advertising, where the Coinbase brand will be visible on US broadcasts of Borussia Dortmund’s Bundesliga games. The Coinbase branding will continue to appear on perimeter advertising and camera carpets at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park. Borussia Dortmund and Coinbase will also work together to create blockchain-based activations for fans, and fans using Coinbase products will have a chance to win VIP tickets to select home games.

Since its inception in 2012, Coinbase has built a reliable and intuitive platform that provides easy access to a wide range of crypto products. Coinbase offers products for individual investors, active traders, companies and institutional investors. In 2021, Coinbase received licenses from the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) for crypto custody business and proprietary trading – limited to crypto assets and account units. This regulation is the first of its kind in Europe and Coinbase Germany was the first company in Germany to be granted this license.
