Germany to fly with Lufthansa’s Fanhansa with Diversity Wins slogan to Oman camp!

For reasons of sustainability, the German national team will travel by scheduled flight to its 2022 FIFA World Cup training camp in Oman.

After the journey with Lufthansa as the official airline of the German national team from Frankfurt to Muscat, the team of national coach Hansi Flick will fly on Thursday, November 17 from Oman with a regional airline to the FIFA World Cup host country Qatar also for reasons of sustainability. An onward flight with Lufthansa would mean empty flights from Germany to Muscat and back from Doha. The DFB and Lufthansa have jointly decided in advance for this version of the journey.

Lufthansa will therefore welcome numerous other guests who are not part of the DFB delegation on Monday, November 14 in the Airbus A330 on the connection to Muscat with flight number LH 632. The aircraft carries a message to the world with a special livery: #DiversityWins. After the flight from Frankfurt to Muscat, Lufthansa will fly with passengers to Dubai and from there also with passengers back to Frankfurt. The DFB and Lufthansa are linked by a long-standing, successful partnership, which was recently extended until 2026.

On Wednesday, November 16 (from 6pm, live on RTL) the FIFA World Cup dress rehearsal will take place against Oman. The first 2022 FIFA World Cup group match will take place on Wednesday, November 23 (from 2pm, live on ARD and MagentaTV) against Japan.
