Hankook Tire renews UEFA Europa League & UEFA Conference League sponsorships!

UEFA has today announced that longtime partner Hankook Tire will renew its sponsorships of the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League for the 2024–27 commercial cycle.

A UEFA Europa League partner since 2012, the agreement will see Hankook’s second brand Laufenn sponsor the UEFA Conference League, while its electric vehicle tyre brand iON will feature in both competitions.

The renewal will continue to see the South Korean company have various sponsorship rights and activations, including the referee mascots that involve young fans in a collaboration with the UEFA Foundation for Children (as was the case for the final in Dublin and will be the case for the final in Athens on 29 May).

Multiple digital activations on both UEFA and Hankook digital channels will further engage football fans by raffling premium tickets through the microsite hankook.win, giving supporters the opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable experience at some of the most iconic venues in European football. Hankook will also continue to sponsor the Player of the Match presentations after both finals.

Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director, said, “We are thrilled that Hankook, the UEFA Europa League’s longest-standing sponsor, will remain a partner for the next three seasons of both the UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League, especially as we enter the new league phase format era of our men’s club competitions. We look forward to building on our fruitful relationship that we have had for more than a decade to further elevate the fan experience while also driving forward our mutual commitment to community engagement.”

Sanghoon Lee, president and COO of Hankook Tire Europe, said, “It is a pleasure to continue our successful partnership with UEFA for another three years to position Hankook Tire as a premium partner also in the sports world. Furthermore, the renewed involvement of our Laufenn brand in the UEFA Conference League also demonstrates the close and trustful relationship we have developed with UEFA over the years. This new competition has already proven to be the perfect platform for raising awareness of our secondary brand in Europe.”

Hankook, Laufenn and iON will also feature in LED perimeter advertising and media backdrops during television interviews and pre-match and post-match press conferences.

Hankook joins Decathlon, Just Eat Takeway.com, Strauss and Swissquote as UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League sponsors for the 2024-27 cycle.
