Aside from being the captain of the German national team from 2004 to 2010, Michael Ballack is also one of the national team’s top goal scorers. He won multiple titles with Bayern Munich and Chelsea FC, has been selected as UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year in 2002 and has won the German Footballer of the Year award three times – in 2002, 2003 and 2005.
