Indian Women’s League qualifiers: Group B off to a Flyer!

Day Two of the Indian Women’s League qualifiers saw an action packed round of Group B encounters at the Rajarshi Shahu Stadium in Kohlapur.

Hans Womens FC, KRYPHSA and Eastern Sporting Union all came out on top in their respective encounters to start their IWL sojourn on a winning note.

The first match of the day saw the SAI Womens Football Team being completely outplayed by the girls from Hans Womens FC. Bhagyashree from the winning side was adjudged the player of the match for her pivotal role in her side’s 4-0 win.

The second game saw KRYPHSA take on United Warriors Sporting Club. A lacklustre show in defence was met with goals at regular intervals as KRYPHSA hammered in five goals to notch up a 5-1 win. Ratanbala was awarded the player of the match award for her performance.

In the third and final encounter of the day, defending Champions Eastern Sporting Union took to the field against Rush Soccer of Mumbai. The title holders did not let down their fans as they sauntered to a clinical 2-0 victory. Parmeshwari, the creator of a lot of attacking oppurtunities was given the player of the match award for her stellar display.
