Champions ATK win their first game of ISL-4, a 1-0 away at Mumbai City FC!

Mumbai City FC suffered a lone goal home loss to defending Indian Super League champions ATK, who in turn won their first game of the season at the Mumbai Football Arena on Sunday evening.

Mumbai City FC had the better start but after the initial flurry with Balwant Singh and Rafa Jorda upfront it was ATK thereafter with home keeper Amrinder Singh denying them on numerous occasions. At the break it was goalless.

After the breather, ATK continued with their attacks and after captain Robbie Keane was denied once more by Amrinder, the Mumbai City FC keeper was finally beaten in the 54th minute when Zequinha played an excisite ball to Robin Singh, who just touched the ball ahead of Lucian Goian and Amrinder to give the away side the lead.

But this acted like a wake-up call for Mumbai City FC with now ATK keeper Debjit Majumder having to show his class to deny the home side.

In the end, ATK had their first win of ISL-4 in what is becoming a more and more interesting league.
