Manchester City launches new young player development program!

Manchester City is opening the doors of the City Football Academy to give children of all skill levels the opportunity to train like a first team player.

The Manchester City Football School Young Player Development Program provides boys and girls aged 5-12 with the chance to train, develop and have fun where their heroes play every day.

Participants will work with the Club’s coaches and experience the training and playing philosophy we use to develop our own players.

The Program runs three courses per year, starting with a 12-week program in the Autumn, which include two training sessions a week.

Course one runs from Monday, September 20 to Saturday, December 18 and is priced at £435 plus £50 for kit, which can be paid in two instalments.

The kit pack includes shirt, shorts, socks, rain jacket, tracksuit bottoms and a water bottle, and purchase is only required upon registering for the first time.

The Program is the perfect place for children to start their football journey, or to build on the playing experience they already have and take their game to the next level.

The training sessions will focus on the fundamentals of attacking and defending, growing confidence and creativity in 1v1 situations, improving the understanding of the roles of players and positions, and learning how to make good decisions.
