Jamshedpur FC score historic first ISL win, a 1-0 away at Delhi Dynamos!

Newcomers Jamshedpur FC score a historic first Indian Super League win with their first-ever goal to earn a 1-0 away win at the Delhi Dynamos at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the capital on Wednesday evening.

The first half didn’t rise to any great heights despite both the sides having their chances to score.

Jamshedpur FC were awarded a penalty just head of the hour mark for a foul on Nigerian striker Izu Azuka by Pratik Chowdhary. But the Steel town team had to wait a little longer for their first-ever ISL goal as Andre Bikey’s weak effort was saved by Albino Gomes.

But then in the 61st minute a Mehtab Hossain free-kick was headed in by Azuka to finally give Jamshedpur FC a deserving lead. Soon after Trindade Goncalves could have made it 2-0, but he missed an easy chance.

Towards the end the game finally opened up with end to end action, but it remained 1-0 in favour of Jamshedpur FC to score their first-ever ISL victory.
