JAKO & VfB Stuttgart launch the 2023/24 season home kit!

The VfB Stuttgart home shirt is out! In the 130th year of the club’s existence, the badge is returning to the middle – and to start with there’s a limited edition with no sponsor logos.

White. Continuous red hoop across the chest. Club badge. In the 130th year since the club’s formation, the home kit for the new season once again reflects the traditionally unmistakable design of the club from Cannstatt. Special accents follow the contour of the iconic VfB crest, which is at the heart of our history and is therefore placed in the centre of the chest. Before VfB look forward to the successor to long-time main and shirt sponsor Mercedes-Benz Bank, the design focuses on the essentials and is completed without advertising on the chest and sleeves for the sales launch. With this limited edition version of only 5,000 units, VfB is fulfilling the wish of many fans – as a sign of deep gratitude for the unconditional support over 130 years.

Thanks to supplier JAKO, VfB also relies on the proven mix of top quality and the highest level of sustainability when it comes to the material used. The polyester used for the jersey is 100 percent recycled and is complemented by highly elastic elastane to achieve the best possible comfort. The VfB crest, which is cut with side slits and an extended back, is applied in a structured 3D look. The design, material and cut of the home shirt are a harmonious combination of tradition and innovation.

“Creating a cutting-edge, modern jersey without breaking with our tradition is the task every season when developing the home kit – even more so in a year with a round birthday,” explained VfB CEO Alexander Wehrle. “Our supplier JAKO has once again shown how connected it is to VfB. Together with our merchandising team, the result is a special blend that puts our crest in the middle and thus makes a clear statement: VfB is the centre of our region, and everyone who wears this shirt gives everything he has for it. I’m sure our fans will like it and that it will topple some shirt records from previous years.”

“It’s important to us and we don’t want to wait any longer to launch this great shirt now and make this rarity available to fans,” added Rouven Kasper, VfB chief marketing and sales officer. “Before the first Bundesliga match, of course, we want to present it again with a new main sponsor on the chest. I am sure that the momentum and the spirit of optimism that we have created for VfB with the global brand alliance will inspire exciting brands to be present on this outstanding jersey and become a prominent part of the VfB family.”
