FC Goa suffered their first loss of the ISL-10 with a lone goal home loss to Mohun Bagan Super Giant at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda on Wednesday evening.
As expected it was a highly tactical match between FC Goa’s Manolo Marquez and Mohun Bagan Super Giant’s Antonio Lopez Habas with limited opportunities at both ends.
The winner came in the 75th minute as an alert Dimitrios Petratos put the ball perfectly into the FC Goa net as keeper Arshdeep Singh couldn’t properly clear the ball out of danger.
With this win, Mohun Bagan Super Giant moved into third spot with now 26 points from 13 matches, while FC Goa just stay ahead of them in second with 28 points from also 13 matches, which opens up the League Shield race.
#FCGoa suffer their first loss of #ISL-10, a 0-1 home loss to #MohunBagan SG, which totally opens up the title race!
A tactical game between Manolo & Habas, which is settled by a mistake & the cleverness of Petratos.#IndianFootball
