Oceania Football Confederation’s General Secretaries Workshop taking place in Auckland!

A three-day workshop attended by the General Secretaries/Chief Executive Officers from each of the Oceania Football Confederation’s Member Associations is taking place this week in Auckland.

Held at the OFC Home of Football, the OFC General Secretaries Workshop is the first step in defining the OFC Executive Programme with Member Associations General Secretaries and CEOs, which is identified in the OFC Strategy 2023-2026.

Monday’s session included presentations from Wellington Phoenix General Manager David Dome on managing a football business in a football development environment, FIFA Chief Women’s Football Officer Sarai Bareman on leadership and performance and UEFA Head of International Relations Eva Pasquier on UEFA Assist.

Across the three days of the workshop, participants will also share knowledge and discuss leadership, performance, personal development and collectively structure the OFC Executive Programme framework.

OFC Chief Operating Officer Frederic Guillemont said, “The idea of developing a tailor-made Executive Programme came from our Member Associations General Secretaries and CEOs, so it is appropriate that across the three days the programme is shaped together,” he said.

“We would like to acknowledge and thank the guest speakers who generously gave up their time to speak at the workshop.”

Tuesday’s session focused on leadership and professional development, including the new OFC Executive Programme, while Wednesday will feature work on the OFC Strategy 2023-2026, OFC Learn and include time for bilateral meetings.
