VfL Bochum sign defender Felix Passlack from Borussia Dortmund!

VfL Bochum 1848 will sign Felix Passlack for the upcoming season. The24-year-old has signed a contract until June 30, 2025. Passlack has played 54 competitive games for Borussia Dortmund, including 33 times in the Bundesliga and ten times in the UEFA Champions League. In addition, he has made two appearances each for TSG Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Europa League.

Felix Passlack made his Bundesliga debut back in March 2016, at the age of 17. At that time (2015) Passlack was already a two-time German U-17 champion, with Dortmund’s U-19s he repeated the double triumph in 2016 and 2017. So far, the right-back comes to more than 100 professional games (including foreign stations at Norwich City and Fortuna Sittard), was twice DFB-Pokal winner and promoted to the Premier League with Norwich. With the national team, Passlack has played at all levels from U-16 to U-21, and as captain and top scorer he led the DFB team to the final at the 2015 European U-17 Championship.

Marc Lettau, Technical Director at VfL Bochum 1848, said of the new signing, “We are delighted to have signed Felix Passlack, a child of the Ruhr region. Felix has already played in the Bundesliga, Champions League and Europa League in his younger years, as well as gaining experience abroad. We are convinced that he will further increase our flexibility and quality on the flank with his skills.”

“I am delighted that it has worked out with VfL,” said Felix Passlack. “The people in charge in Bochum have made a lot of effort for me, showed me the sporting perspective. That’s why I decided early on to join VfL. It’s nice that I can stay in the area. At VfL, I want to get more playing time than I’ve had recently – preferably in the Bundesliga.”
