The Bhutan Football Federation (BFF) held its inaugural BFF Grassroots Leader Seminar, attracting a huge turnout in its efforts to develop football in the Himalayan country.
The seminar saw the participation of 19 districts’ football secretaries and 22 grassroots leaders as they brainstormed on the AFC Grassroots Charter, regulations and guidelines.
The landmark event was aimed at strengthening the support of stakeholders’ involvement to promote the grassroots programme in the districts.
Speaking at the seminar, BFF Head of Grassroots and Youth Department Ugyen Dorji, gave an outline of BFF’s Grassroots Programme and shared a five-year update from the 19 districts.
The stakeholders were also presented with a yearly grassroots programme – an initiative which began in 2013 – which highlights the awards from the AFC for Grassroots and AFC Grassroots charter at the bronze level.
