ISL-4: Delhi Dynamos suffer surprise 0-2 loss to NorthEast United FC!

In their first home match of the season, the Delhi Dynamos suffered a surprise 0-2 loss to NorthEast United FC, who scored their first win of the campaign, at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in the capital on Saturday night.

After some action at both ends it were the visitors from NorthEast United FC, who took a 17th minute lead, when winger Halicharan Narzary broke free, crossed the ball in high and Marcinho banged it in.

The Highlanders were now on top and pressed the Dynamos into their own half, but they needed a blunder from keeper Albino Gomes to double their lead on five minutes later. Albino made a complete mess of a Pratik Chowdhary back pass, allowing Danilo Lopes to steal the ball and put it into an empty net.

NorthEast United keeper T.P. Rehenesh came to his teams rescue on a number of occasions in the first session to allow his team to take a 2-0 lead into the break.

In the second session it was the same picture at the start, but with Delhi not getting a goal and NorthEast United happy to defend their lead, nothing much happened and it remained the way it was at the half-time break. NorthEast United FC score a surprise 2-0 win at Delhi Dynamos, which once again shows that the ISL remains unpredictable.
