ISL Final in Kochi sold out, Blasters Fans desperate to get Tickets!

The final of the third edition of the Indian Super League on Sunday night between home side Kerala Blasters FC and Atletico de Kolkata at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi has already sold out over two days prior of going to be played.

The mad rush for match tickets was expected with home side Kerala Blasters making the final and the team they lost the ISL-1 final to Atletico de Kolkata as their opponents. One could not have scripted a better final pairing.

The city of Kochi has witnessed numerous games this season with 50,000 plus spectators thronging to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium and Sunday will be no different, but unlike the league matches and the semifinals, the final is organised by the league and therefore a home side like Kerala this year or Goa last year has no influence on how many tickets go out into the market and in which way.

Last year FC Goa could have easily sold 100,000 plus tickets for the final and in the much bigger state of Kerala but equally as football crazy as Goa that number will automatically be substantially higher.

Rumours has it from across Kerala especially the northern districts that fans are willing to offer Rs 10,000 or more for simple Rs 300 and Rs 500 tickets, which were sold out quickly across the counters as well as online on the official ISL ticket platform BookMyShow.

A cracker of a game and even greater atmosphere at an iconic football venue is set to await us on Sunday night when the Kerala Blasters host Atletico de Kolkata in the final of ISL-3.
