Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan AC continued their Calcutta Football League – Premier Division ‘A’ campaign with a dull 2-0 victory over Calcutta Customs at their own Mohun Bagan ground on Sunday evening.
It was an individual effort from Ivorian striker Kamo Stephane Bayi which gave Mohun Bagan a 32nd minute lead, but soon after Calcutta Customs hit the woodwork which was to be their only real chance of the match.
Six minutes into the second half, Mohun Bagan doubled the lead through man of the match Ansumana Kromah of Liberia to seal all the three points.
With their fourth win of the CFL in a row, Mohun Bagan join archrivals East Bengal at the top of the table with 12 points but are only second on goal difference.
