NorthEast United FC kick-off preparations for implementing its long-term Grassroots vision!

Indian Super League franchise NorthEast United FC kicked-off their preparations for implementing its long-term Grassroots vision in Guwahati on Monday, January 30. In a meeting chaired by NEUFC owner John Abraham, the club invited the Heads and Principals of prominent schools in Guwahati to engage in an open discussion regarding the implementation of a robust Grassroots program.

Amongst the attendees were:
– Sanskriti the Gurukul
– NPS International
– Royal Global School, Guwahati
– South Point School
– DPS Guwahati

NorthEast United FC shared its vision of developing the North-East’s Grassroots community and also sought the support of the schools in attendance. The presentation was met with strong approval from the stake-holders who pledged their support to the cause.

John Abraham stressed on the point of giving the country’s football hotbed a concrete pathway to the top, “We are the gold-mine of footballing talent. Each state is brimming with unfound and undiscovered potential and it is our duty to give such prodigies an opportunity to showcase themselves.”

NorthEast United FC also introduced the concept of “Power Centres” which is an attempt to create talent pools across the eight states of the North-East.
