NorthEast United FC score injury time comeback win over Kerala Blasters!

Hosts NorthEast United FC scored two goals in injury time to win 2-1 over Kerala Blasters in a dramatic comeback win at the Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Friday night.

In an entertaining first half, NorthEast United FC were the better of the two sides but their attacking intent allowed Kerala Blasters to have the better chances as the game went into the break goalless.

Against the run of play, Kerala Blasters took a 73rd minute lead off a Matej Poplatnik header from a Zakeer corner.

NorthEast United FC further upped the pressure on their opponents, but they had to wait for injury time to equalise as Sandesh Jhingan brought down Juan Mascia and striker Bartholomew Ogbeche scored for a deserving point for the Highlanders. But they didn’t stop here as substitute Juan Mascia scored a brilliant long-ranger to win it for his side.

NorthEast United FC next travel to FC Pune City for a match on November 27, while Kerala Blasters face champions Chennaiyin FC in a south India derby on November 29.
